Cannes is a resort town which lies right on the Mediterranean Sea. You can not help but noticing the prominent psalm trees. What is rather interesting is that this city is located at 40 degrees North latitude which is the same as New York City. The reason it appears to be further South is because of the warmer Gulf stream which propels warm water all the way across the Atlantic Ocean. So the warm water in the Gulf of Mexico actually reaches and establishes a warm climate in Europe. If you didn't know better one might think this was Florida or San Diego, California.
